Growing Our Team

Last year was an exciting year for the Growald Climate Fund team. In June we welcomed our first Program Assistant, Natasha Ibori, for a 6-month appointment. While with Growald Climate Fund, Natasha was an important asset to the team by providing administrative support and collaborating on research and grants management. At the end of 2018 Natasha left GFF to return home to Nigeria, where she is looking forward to continuing her work positively impacting social and environmental conditions.

Announcing Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership

Today, at the One Planet Summit in New York, we are announcing a new collaboration to accelerate the energy transition in Southeast Asia. In partnerships with governments, global philanthropies, development cooperation partners, businesses, financial institutions, NGOs and other stakeholders we aim to consolidate international support for the energy transition in Southeast Asia and help promote the right market conditions for the region’s thriving private sector to ramp up investment in line with the Paris Agreement.

Growald Climate Fund Commits $25 million, Joining 28 Other Foundations to Address Climate Change

Last week at the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) in San Francisco, California, 29 foundations and independent philanthropists pledged $4 billion to address global climate change. This commitment comes at a time when we are seeing devastating impacts of climate change -- from record breaking heat waves to extreme droughts to devastating floods.
